  • The Infrastructure ‐ Amica is primarily based on the activation of actions addressed to adapt and strengthen the infrastructure system in the “Regioni della Convergenza” in order to promote and develop structures and equipments as sensors, tools, integrated platforms and mobile environmental stations, used for monitoring the climate and the environment within the Mediterranean Area and in other sensitive regions of the Earth. Following this idea, the aptitude of the public and private Research Entities to improve and renew the environmental research will be developed, thus encouraging ‐directly or indirectly‐ all activities connected with the productive system or with services to local area and bringing socio‐economical advantages to the “Region of the Convergence”. This goal will be achieved through the Integration among “Research ‐ High Training ‐ Innovation” (Knowledge Triangle) and thanks to the connection with observational systems , able to jointly monitor the environment, the centres and networks for data processing and information treatment.
