Comment on “Intercomparison of UV/visible spectrometers for measurements of stratospheric NO2 for the Network for the Detection of Stratospheric Change” by David Hofmann et al.

During the period May 12-23, 1992, an intercomparisono of Various ground-based remote sensing UV-visible spectrometers for the measurement of stratospheric NO2 slant columns was held at Lauder (New Zealand). All groups' results from Lauder were reported by the intercomparison referee, David Hofmann,in a special paper [Hofmann et al., 1995].

Purpose
The aim of the present comment, as suggested by D. J. Hofmann in his paper, is to document our revised data because the improvements achieved there after by a revision of the spectral analysis could not be included by Hofmann et al. [1995] owing to the blind nature of the intercomparison.
