The CM6B is a first class pyranometer as defined by the World Meteorological Organization. It is suitable for the measurement of solar irradiance on a plane surface (W/m2). The sensor ( CM6B Pyranometer) takes hourly measurements of global radiation. Pheriche station is involved in the project of international monitoring CEOP. The main goal is to contribute to the study of climate change impacts and adaptation strategies. The project also aims to make new and more complete information on climate changes and their local, regional and global consequences available to governments and international agencies. The purpose of this pyranometer is to acquire data on global solar radiation. The CM6B is fully compliant with all ISO-9060 First Class pyranometer performance specification criteria. It is suitable for the measurement of solar irradiance on a plane surface (W/m2). It incorporates a 64-thermocouple sensor, which is rotationally symmetrical, housed under K5 domes. A white screen prevents the body of the pyranometer from heating up. The pyranometer is supplied with a spirit level and screws for accurate levelling. A drying cartridge keeps the interior free from humidity. The CM6B can be used in conjunction with the optional Kipp & Zonen CV2 ventilation system, for enhanced measurement performance and overall reduced instrument maintenance. Every CM6B is calibrated upon manufacture, and is supplied standard with a WRR (World Radiometric Reference) traceable calibration certificate.
