Purpose
Hydrology study and of inputs from the catchment area, hydrochemical and physical lake, populations of phyto-and zoo-plankton, studies on the benthic community. Paleolimnologici studies with particular reference to networks fossils (diatoms, crisoficee, algal pigments, cladoceri). Studies on Meteorology and Climatology.

Supplemental Information
You can customize the template to suit your needs. You can add and remove fields and fill out default information (e.g. contact details). Fields you can not change in the default view may be accessible in the more comprehensive (and more complex) advanced view. You can even use the XML editor to create custom structures, but they have to be validated by the system, so know what you do :-)

Pyramid Lake Superior (LPS), LCN 9

Location: Lat 27 ° 57'54 "N Long 86 ° 48'40" E; Lake Area (m2): 5.7 103: Average depth (m): unknown; Maximum depth (m): 8.2; Altitude of the lake (m): 5213; Area Region: Himalayas, Khumbu Valley, Mount Everest. The site includes high-altitude lakes, oligomittici located in the Himalayan region (Khumbu Valley, Mount Everest). The lakes have characteristics comparable to those of high altitude alpine lakes, are subject to tropical climate regime, located at altitudes between 4500 and 5500 m above sea level are permanent areas of study within different national and international research programs .

Data collected: climate, physics, hydrology, atmospheric deposition, lake hydrochemistry, ecology of planktonic populations, with variable frequency from 1990 to present.

Current data:

-physical data: Meteorology (hourly); natural lake (bi-hourly);

-inorganic chemistry-chemical data of atmospheric deposition and water column (ionic balance);

-biotic data: phytoplankton, zooplankton, benthos
