South Col Atmospheric pressure

Both in 2008 and in 2011 expedition a PTB330 barometer was installed at South Col. This sensor is manufactured by Vaisala company.

Vaisala's Barometer measure Atmospheric Pressure in weather station.

The pressure measurement of the PTB330 is based on the Vaisala in-house, silicon capacitive, absolute pressure sensor - the Vaisala BAROCAP® Sensor. It provides high measurement accuracy and excellent long-term stability. The data include continuous measurements Atmospheric pressure [hPa] in the South Col Station using a PTB330 Barometer (Vaisala).
